The desire to create secret/hidden worlds comes to us when we begin to realise the depth of our imagination and the potential in us to always be elsewhere. When, as children, we daydreamed of secret kingdoms, caves in which a sleeping king and queen awaited our discovery and where we could finally become a fairy princess, we ignored the normality of our daily reality. Transported by our daydreams and books, absorbed and elevated by joy or terror, we played in unseen dimensions (unseen by grown-ups, that is) where our desire held sway above all others.

Jungle scenes made today .. all this hot weather took me to the tropics..
Staring at my fake walls deep in thought draining the whole point of discovery, I turn around and look at the blue rubbish bin left of my desk.. a thought crosses my mind.. wouldn’t it be fun to send people on a treasure type hunt hiding my scenes within everyday objects I find around the studios? For one this sovles my issue of making the fake walls look like they have been there and are meant to be there. Two it puts the context of discovery more forward in peoples mind by hunting out these hiden treasures… hmm time to test this idea out I think.

A few everyday objects I found around the studios that could possibly work.. with permission of the university that is. Or I could just bring my own in.? make copys of?
